Mozilla requires all Firefox users to install two new patches that remove significant security risks.
Firefox users will now be able to sleep peacefully again. Earlier, major security vulnerabilities were noted. Mozilla, the company behind the popular web browser Firefox, is releasing patches to fix security holes. That technology site reports ZDNet in a message. According to Mozilla, the two leaks were actively used by cybercriminals.
Mozilla Indicates weaknesses Such as CVE-2022-26485 and CVE-2022-26486. The first would be a post-use vulnerability after removing the XSLT parameter. The second would be a problem-free usage after unexpected messages in the WebGPU IPC framework.
The patches will be named Firefox 97.0.2, Firefox EST 91.6.1, Firefox for Android 97.3.0, and Focus 97.3.0. Additionally, the Thunderbird mail client will also receive the fix in Thunderbird 91.6.2. Researchers from the Chinese security company Qihoo 306 ATA were the first to notice the leaks.
Both vulnerabilities are also described as “zero-day” vulnerabilities. This means that these are problems that developers have not noticed before. These two issues will also be reported as ‘critical’. So it is recommended that all Firefox users update their browsers with new updates as soon as possible.
