Google has started updating its Calendar app with Material You 3 features. Google Calendar will get a new time-setting tool this time around, among other things.
Functionally, nothing changes in the Google Calendar app. However, the search giant has started adapting the design for Material You 3. Earlier, the app had already received new radio buttons. With the new server-side update, the timer also changes.
This time, the modified design includes the background colors for your background. This makes the widget feel a bit newer than before, and as a whole it fits better in the Calendar app. After all, Google also uses your Android’s interface color for the select buttons and the calendar interface as a whole.

In addition, the search giant is bringing Material You widgets to the agenda. News about the gadgets appeared in early June. However, no official launch date has been announced. However, the offering is now final on. As usual, Material You widgets adapt to the style set in Android. Widgets also get bigger buttons. However, functionally, nothing has changed in the tools. Moreover, Google is sticking with the same set of tools it previously developed for the Calendar app.
Remarkably, it took two years for these tools to arrive. In 2021, with the release of Android 12, Google has already hinted at wanting to develop new tools. After a long time, this is actually happening now.
New Play Store design
The Agenda app is certainly not the only place where material is drawn. The Play Store also recently received a new but temporary lick of this paint. Earlier this year, it was also announced that the Weather app will get a new look based on Material You. However, the final rollout of the new design has yet to begin. When this will happen is still unknown.
