Itches is a band from Kempen, the area where Flemish people are the friendliest and most polite. More specifically, according to the municipality’s website, Vorselaar is a place where you can ride a bike, play mini golf and go to the playgrounds. You can even have a picnic there. It couldn’t have been crazier, so the Kempen trio created a band with the wonderful name Itches. This has already led to their first EP Kingdom on the top floorwhich was released in 2022. After about fifteen minutes, the entire record has been listened to, and as a listener you have the huge advantage of having a lot of energy. Loaded with vitamin D and iron-containing nutrients, you can resist dunking on the first course of the trio.driver’s license“” and “Masters Of Time” have already been shared with the public and now we also get “Out Of The Frame”.
A great riff on the various string instruments and a huge drum pattern that propels the new song forward throughout: these are the ingredients for “Out Of The Frame”. Frontman Philippe Peeters joins in on the vocals almost immediately, and it’s clear that Itches have a lot of fun playing it. The new single is a very typical example of a song that everyone in the audience will be singing along to. It’s exciting, it’s energetic, it’s upbeat, and it’s basically just a perfect punk disc. We can safely compare the song to Equal Idiots, but we still hear more of the dirty sound of English punk from the 70s. We mean bands like The Jam, Sham 69 and X-Ray Spex. After a minute and a half of the song, we hear an excellent guitar solo, after which Philippe Peeters, Jonas Torfs and Arno Selz launch into a great outro at the end. A great song, but now we’re going to play mini golf and go for a walk. It’s a matter of getting back to ourselves after this great song.
