UZA has teamed up with several partners to map out three new hiking trails through Edegem, Wilrijk and Aartselaar. In total, 17.3 kilometers of signaled pedestrian lanes will be added.
UZA and its staff have already set a good example with various projects to get enough exercise. With the latest initiative can navigate every day.
“UZA has collaborated with Atlas Copco, Sport Vlaanderen and participating municipalities and cities to develop entirely new functionality. Three marked trails for each level – 4, 5.2 and 8.1 kilometers – lead you along beautiful stretches of nature and village centers around UZA,” states UZA.
The starting places are in the hospital car park in Edegem, at Kleine Doornstraat in Wilrijk and at Kleistraat 202-204 in Aartselaar.
The shortest loop of 4 km takes a jogger towards Fort 6 in Willrick. The 5.2 kilometer course adds UZA and directs you to the Eden region. Whoever walks the longest loop, heads south to Aartselaar and passes, among other things, Solhof Castle and the rural Aartselaarstraat in Edegem. The three rings can be combined. fisp
