Manipulation

“Carrick was persuasive, but also incredibly manipulative. On his first encounter, he would charm victims. He would often use his position as a police officer to prevent them from escaping or reporting him, by suggesting that their word would be against his and that they would do so.” “They won’t be believed,” Narwhal said.

A hearing on the results will be held on Tuesday. The court is scheduled to issue its ruling on February 6. More victims are expected to come.

The Met has since apologized for its negligence regarding Carrick.
