Prince Harry will soon fly from California to England to meet his father Charles. The British monarch announced on Monday that she has cancer and informed her son of her diagnosis.
Prince Harry has lived in America for years and has a difficult relationship with his father and brother Prince William. Despite the family feud, King Charles himself is said to have called him to tell him he had cancer.
According to sources close to the prince, Harry plans to visit England soon. His wife Megan and their two children Archie and Lilibeth are in the US.
Harry has yet to officially comment on his father’s cancer diagnosis. Prince William, despite being privately informed by his father, has yet to issue an official response.
‘King confident about his treatments’
Buckingham Palace has not announced what type of cancer the British monarch has. The cancer was discovered last week when he was hospitalized. Charles later underwent surgery for an enlarged prostate. The British monarch spent three nights in hospital for that treatment.
According to the British royal family, cancer treatment began on Monday. On the advice of doctors, Charles postpones his public duties, but he can continue to conduct state affairs.
Buckingham Palace said in a statement: “The King is grateful for the swift intervention of his medical team. “He is optimistic about his treatments and looks forward to returning to all his duties soon.”
