RadioNL Summer Tour concert at Koningsplein was a success – RTV-Ridderkerk

On Saturday 14 September 2024, the Ridderkerk was once again ready for the concert on Koningsplein, organised by RadioNL in collaboration with the Ridderkerk Events Foundation. The large square was completely full in the early afternoon, with an estimated audience of around 7,500.

The first part of the schedule included the so-called “warm-up” musicians such as Sander Quarten, Edwin van der Tullen and Robert van Hemert, who had a huge hit with his latest song “Zoet, salt sour”. This was followed by Gebroeders Ko, Otto Lagerfelt and Marvin de Geest, after which the big concert of the evening was programmed: The Snollebollekes. The entire Ridderkerk went from left to right and back.

Then it continued at a fast pace with artists such as Arjan Veenman, Jeffrey Heesen, Bob Offenberg, Jan van Est, Rob Zorn and Jeroen van Zeest before Walter Kruse took the stage. Of course, he turned the audience upside down too. This was followed by performances by Vinzzent, Mike Peterson, Avalancheboys, Henk Benard, Leen Zijlmans, Eloy de Jong, Helemaal Hollands and Rutger van Barneveld.

The planned performance by the Harbour Singers was cancelled due to illness. The closing acts were Wannebiezz and Marco de Hollander, who once again impressed the audience with their performance. Unfortunately, the concert suffered from some minor skirmishes later in the evening, but security and police brought the situation under control.
