Ramadan ends on May 2 in Belgium | the interior

During Ramadan, Muslim believers are not allowed to eat, drink, smoke or have intercourse for a month between sunrise and sunset. One wants to purify the soul by fasting, thank God. When this period is over, they celebrate together.

Sugar Festival is celebrated on the first day of Shawwal this year on the second of May. Shawwal is the tenth month in the Islamic calendar. The Islamic calendar is based on the lunar cycle. The first day of the new month is the day on which the new moon becomes visible.
