Resident Evil Village release date and PlayStation 5 trailer has been revealed

Resident Evil Village will be released on May 7, 2021, Capcom revealed during the Resident Evil Showcase that aired on January 21, 2021.

During the presentation, it was revealed that Resident Evil Village will not only be coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X / S and PC, but the game will also be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

PlayStation 5 players can get started today with an exclusively available demo of Sony’s new console. This demo doesn’t put guys in Ethan’s shoes, but rather the shoe of a maiden. So this story won’t be part of Village, but it could be more comparable to Resident Evil 7: Beginning Hour. Furthermore, the demo will not contain fight or ‘blocking’. Players who don’t have a PlayStation 5 can still start another demo later in the spring. It’s not clear if this will be the same demo or something completely different.

Moreover, PlayStation 4 players are given the option to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version for free. Xbox owners can use Xbox Smart Delivery, which automatically updates the Xbox One version to the X series. Capcom has announced several releases from Village. There will be a standard and collector’s edition of the game, which of course includes a Chris statue.

Starting today, it is also possible to pre-order the game on one of the available platforms.
