Sony is bringing 2024 features to its A95L series QD-OLED TVs

Last week, Sony introduced its 2024 TV lineup, with three new series; BRAVIA 7, 8 and 9. You might think that the BRAVIA 9 is the new top model, as the Japanese manufacturer has chosen mini-LED as its flagship technology. However, this is not entirely true as Sony is giving the A95L QD-OLED TV series an update that adds the most important features starting in 2024.

The A95L series was launched in mid-2023 and was the flagship of that year. The TVs use QD-OLED technology, which is currently considered the best picture technology for TVs. Sony will continue selling the A95L series in 2024 and position the series next to the BRAVIA 9 series, which uses mini-LED LCD technology.

To bring the A95L series to the same level, Sony will provide the series with a major update later this year. Owners will get a number of key features introduced with the new 2024 models, including Prime Video Calibrate mode and Voice Zoom 3, an advanced AI system that makes dialogue clearer. The A95L series is already equipped with the new XR processor and has already offered support for Dolby Vision 120Hz and IMAX Enhanced.
