Space Marine 2 Studios Has Plans for DLC and a Sequel

Developer Saber Interactive already has some ideas for a potential DLC story or sequel to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. The fact that the studio is willing to invest in the franchise is not surprising, as Space Marine 2 was a huge success.

According to publisher Focus Entertainment, Space Marine 2 has already attracted 2 million players on its release day. Tim Willits, creative director at Saber Interactive, says the shooter is the fastest-selling game he’s ever worked on. Director Dmitry Grigorenko has even suggested some ideas that could be good for a downloadable story or a potential sequel. Before work on that can begin, it’s only natural that Saber Interactive would want to take a break. Space Marine 2 was released just two weeks ago.

However, Willits assures that the studio won’t disappoint Warhammer fans in the future. After all, the success of Space Marine 2 was too great to let the franchise rest on its laurels now. What does that future hold? The studio still has to figure that out. There are different divisions within the Space Marines. Lots of backstory. Lots of options…
