Storm Lillian will hit the northern part of the UK on Thursday evening and Friday night. Code Yellow applies to heavy winds and rain.
The British Met Office said this area of low pressure will move across the country this evening and overnight. Wind gusts of 80 to 95 kilometers per hour are likely, with local gusts of up to 120 kilometers per hour. Also, 20 to 30 millimeters of rain will fall in the region and 40 to 50 millimeters inland in 12 hours.
Meteorological Department has issued Yellow Code for Thursday and Friday. The Meteorological Department has warned that heavy rains and floods are likely. Important roads will also become impassable.

The KNMI code has also issued yellow for North Holland and the Wadden region. Wind gusts of up to 80 kilometers per hour are possible. This weather warning is in effect Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
