Escape Factory, the new game from the studio behind the scam game The previous daywas unable to raise enough money through Kickstarter and so developer Fntastic decided to put the project on hold for the time being due to lack of interest. Several other new games were announced at the same time.
For example, Fntastic asked via a survey about players’ interest in different genres, and found that there seemed to be interest in the so-called “horror action mainstay chase” game. Fntastic now wants to work on that.
The new game is called StuffBut that’s all that is known about her. Fntastic now wants to first focus on creating a playable prototype and will be releasing a demo to the world for players to get a taste of. There’s a real chance a Kickstarter will eventually launch for ITEMS as well.
Of course, money is also needed to develop ITEMS and this does not seem to be available immediately, and since there is not enough of the game yet to launch a Kickstarter, it was immediately announced that Fntastic “will be releasing several mobile games” in order to use the income To fund the development of ITEMS. Further details about these mobile games are unknown.
At Fntasic, which says it has learned from past mistakes, it has not given up yet, although the question is whether the gaming community will be able to trust the studio again or give it a chance.
