The first creepy images from ‘Salem’s Lot’, Stephen King’s next big movie

It’s still a bit unclear what Warner Bros. wants to do with Salem’s Lot. Will the film be released directly on HBO Max or will it continue to be released in theaters? Right now, the approach seems to vary from country to country, with a streaming release on HBO Max likely in the Netherlands.

Adaptation of Stephen King’s book Salem’s piece The film, directed by Gary Dauberman, was shot in 2021 and 2022 and was still planned for a theatrical release. The film was later scheduled for a release on HBO Max. Currently, the film is only scheduled to be released in theaters on October 11 in the UK and Ireland. A release date on HBO Max has not yet been announced.

King’s book was published in 1975, and a film adaptation was released in 1979, originally as a two-part miniseries. In 1987 there was a sequel, Return to Salem’s Lot.
