No. 59. Under Pressure

“Under Pressure” is officially known as The Queen’s Song, but with David Bowie. However, according to Brian May, the song was written jointly with the British singer, and Mercury and Bowie sometimes fiercely discussed both the lyrics and the music during the recording. The song is on the album Heated space By Queen from 1981. For Queen, this was the second # 1 recorded in the UK after Bohemian Rhapsody.

In the album The rise and fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spider from Mars Bowie shows himself as an apocalyptic rock star who not only sings about his underworld infatuation in Starman, but also in Lady Stardust and Moonage Daydream. Speaking of aliens, when Space Oddity became the number one hit in England and Fame in America took the same place, Bowie was playing the lead role as an alien in the movie.
