TUI cancels flights to Marrakech and Agadir

TUI, which specializes in travel, has announced that it will cancel its flights to Marrakech and Agadir, after the Moroccan government’s decision to suspend all commercial flights to and from the Netherlands, Germany and the United Kingdom.

Morocco’s decision to suspend flights with Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom will affect many holidaymakers in England and Wales who have already booked their holidays in the kingdom, reports said. The Economist.

“The Moroccan government has informed us of a regulatory change that will affect flights from the UK to Morocco from October 21. As a result, we have unfortunately had to cancel flights to Marrakesh and Agadir until October 31, 2021,” TUI said. The company adds that nearly 2,000 people are stranded in Morocco.

“We will contact customers in arranging departure time to discuss their options, including a change of destination or a full refund,” the tour operator said.

The British Foreign Office said, on Wednesday, that travelers wishing to travel to Morocco, despite the ban on direct flights to the United Kingdom, will still be able to travel through Spain and France.
