We are proud to share that health research “Healthy Living?” check it out!’ It is officially recognized as a well-evidenced intervention by the Netherlands Youth Institute (NJI). This means that the program actively contributes to their health and well-being.

Huge impact on young people

In addition to the youth in our GGD region, high school students in eight other regions are being offered this check. This means that tens of thousands of young people can access expert advice and guidance.

Prevention and support

The program offers not only a digital questionnaire, but also personalized and tailored health information online. Young people can chat anonymously and have face-to-face conversations with youth healthcare professionals, who can support them in a familiar environment. This often helps prevent problems before they get worse. Where necessary, parents, schools or carers are involved.

Health policy in schools

This intervention also focuses on improving school health policy. Schools receive an annual health file based on anonymized screening results. This helps schools know where they can best support their students and what interventions are needed.

Recognition and the future

Recognition by an independent committee confirms that “healthy living?” check it out!’ It is an effective approach that can make a difference for young people.
