The Samsung Galaxy S24 was the first phone to receive the major Galaxy AI upgrade earlier this month, and now it’s one of the last to get the update with the September patch.
Galaxy S24 September 2024 Update
September was a busy month for Samsung’s update servers. Several phones received a major update with new AI features introduced in July on the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6. Leading the way was the Galaxy S24 series, which received it at the beginning of the month without the latest security patch. So the patch in question still has to be delivered separately — and that’s what’s happening today.
The update to firmware version S92*BXXS3AXI1 installs the September security patch, but it’s still around 450MB in size. On board are 44 improvements to the Android operating system itself, including a critical security fix for the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s Snapdragon processor.
Samsung itself has added 23 additional improvements, security updates – among other things – My files, Topicshe – she KnoxSystem and OneUI-Launcher.
Availability
You can now install the September update directly on Unbranded Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra in the Netherlands, Belgium, and the rest of Europe. Wait for your phone to receive it automatically, or check availability manually via Settings -> Software Update -> Download and Install.
