The Hague – Queen Máxima has a new job. Máxima will work for the financial health of citizens at the United Nations. “Sound financial management is important in every family. I know better than anyone what financial problems look like,” the queen said.
In it New feature Queen Máxima will act as an advocate for financial health. From the United Nations, she will promote financial education and make debt a topic of discussion. In the Netherlands, the Queen does similar work for the National Alliance for Financial Health, among others. According to Queen Máxima, she is the best person to help people with their finances.
“Financial problems can cause an incredible amount of stress. I often lose sleep over it, not knowing where to go with the money at the end of the month. I still think hard about my income and expenses. My husband and I live on benefits, so I pay close attention to what I spend,” the Queen said.
“My husband and I can now manage our finances well. This gives me some peace of mind.”
