AntwerpWhoever strolls along the quays of the Antwerp Scheldt imagines himself in fashionable French Saint-Tropez. Because Aviva is anchored at the peak of Norderterrasen. The majestic yacht – the ship has a real playground on board – is owned by British billionaire and Tottenham chairman Joe Louis (85).
No cruise ship overcrowded with tourists this time. But a 98-meter yacht has been moored on the banks of the Scheldt river in downtown Antwerp since Friday. Aviva is owned by British billionaire Joe Louis (85), who also owns the English club Tottenham Hotspur. With an estimated net worth of €7 billion, Lewis is considered one of the richest people in the United Kingdom.
So Louis has a lot of money. Therefore, Aviva oozes luxury. The ship, which has an estimated value of €175 million, has a gym, beach club, and yes, a real paddle court. There is space to stay on board for 35 crew members, plus 16 guests, including the owner.
home office
It is not known why Aviva calls in Antwerp. It is also not known if Joe Louis was “the same” on board. But the opportunity is great. Louis has been known to use Aviva as his “home office”. The billionaire will also house his personal art collection on the yacht. And that’s just a few, Louis owns works by Picasso, Klimt, Matisse, Cézanne and Degas, among others.
It is not known when Aviva will leave Antwerp Waters.
