Blue Walk – Veldhovensweekblad.nl

column

Every week, an official from the Mayor’s Council and members of the House of Representatives present a column on Veldhovens Weekblad. This gives them insight into their role as mayor or alderman. It’s Mayor Marcel Delhaise’s turn this week.

I sometimes hear that I have a busy job. correct. He is hectic and busy at times. But also very nice, diverse and grateful to be of service to the Feldhoven community. After work I also try to find relaxation. I do this by playing tennis at the VLTC, cooking at Culinair Gilde Brabançonne, running in the woods, or walking (with or without GVAC). There are plenty of activities to do in and around the city of Veldhoven.

Now that the sun has been showing itself for a bit longer and temperatures are rising, it’s not a punishment to be outside. That’s what my wife and I thought last Sunday when friends came to visit and suggested we go for a walk on Toterfout.

There is so much to do in and around
Feldhoven

We parked at ‘t Geitenboerke, to start from there and have a drink when we got back. After about 600 metres, the paved road turned into a sandy lane and I excitedly wanted to tell something about the burial mounds. I went to the sign showing the burial mounds and overlooked a pebble…

My ankle buckled and I heard a crack. I guess ghosts haven’t been nice to me. The end of the march, of course. At MMC they asked what color of plaster I wanted on my ankle. The nurse was holding the blue button in his hand. Is this what it means to walk in blue now?
