Brad Pitt’s Formula 1 movie will be called Summit –

It has been known for some time that this weekend’s British Grand Prix will not only be the venue for racing, but also the setting and backdrop for an upcoming film based on the world of Formula 1.

Stars Brad Pitt and Pitt lead a fictional Team No. 11, driving a fake Mercedes-AMG F1 team built car, with the film’s plot and story overseen by Lewis Hamilton. To add to all of this information, it appears that ESPN F1 has leaked some other bits of information about the movie, per Tweet now deleted.

As I spotted it colliderThe movie will be known as Apex, and Pete will play a character named Sonny Hayes, a retired driver who returns to help a younger driver win the championship.

To add to this, the F1 Twitter channel has now posted an image of what appears to be the car designed by Mercedes-AMG, known as the APXGP. Below you can see a photo of the car.

No further details, but with filming in Silverstone in the UK set for fans in the coming days, expect to hear and see more about the film as the weekend progresses.
