Brexiteer Nigel Farage admitted in an interview with the BBC that “Brexit has failed”.

And Nigel Farage, the leader of Britain’s exit from the European Union, remains convinced that his country should not be part of the European Union. But he admits that the UK has not yet benefited economically from Brexit. “Brexit has failed,” says the former leader of the UK Independence Party. According to Farage, this is due to the ruling conservatives not keeping their promises.

“I fear that Brexit has shown our politicians as useless as the (European) commissioners in Brussels,” Farage said. “We went about this completely wrong.” Not much has been achieved of stricter immigration controls, among other things, as the right-wing populist claims.

A British government spokesman contradicts Farage’s remarks. Among other things, the renewable agricultural policy is referred to. “We have a fairer system geared towards British farmers,” he said.

A few years ago, Farage announced that he would leave Britain if Brexit failed. And on social media you can find plenty of sarcastic messages from the Brits who are already waving goodbye to Farage.
