Celebrating Lego’s 90th Anniversary with the Life-Size 007-Aston Martin DB5

Lego’s 90th anniversary was celebrated on August 10. The Danish toy company did it at the time with a huge Lego cake, but the cake wasn’t over yet. Since the company has worked with the James Bond franchise for many years, a life-size Aston Martin DB5 from 007 films, consisting of 347,954 Lego pieces, has been shown in London, Leicester Square.

Lego version of the Aston Martin DB5

Of course, it couldn’t be any different than having a LEGO-Aston Martin DB5 James Bond in England. You will have to travel to the UK capital to see the piece of art with your own eyes. The Lego store in Leicester Square is once again the largest in the world after the recent expansion of 300 square metres.

It took 57 days to create the replica

This James Bond classic Aston Martin DB5 replica consists of 347,954 parts, 1295 more than the standard miniature kit, and is complete with rotating number plates, working headlights, ejector seat and instrument panel. In total, construction took 1,366 hours, or 57 days.

Although the DB5 debuted in the 1964 Goldfinger when the car was all new, the DB5 also appeared in most of the James Bond films of the Daniel Craig era, making its name perhaps the most famous cinematic car in the world.
