The FastBreak team – investigators from Sittard Jilin – will collect garbage in two places in the municipality on Carnival Day Sunday February 14th.

Originally, the Carnival, an alternate carnival parade in which participants in carnival costumes go to gather the carnival roving, was on Sunday February 7, but due to the expected weather conditions, it was decided to move the fun cleaning campaign to the Carnival on Sunday February 14th. After all, the litter is no longer visible under the expected snowfall.

“It makes the environment much cleaner and we still have a little bit of that constant feeling,” the organization said. Many people have been registered, from young to old. Participants include CDA Member and Member of Parliament Martijn van Helvert, singer Aukje Hermanns and Prince Jordy I of the Sjoutvotte Carnival Association of Jilin. By the way, the latter is not completely found.

The Vaste Prik was launched in mid-January on the initiative of Melle van Buren of Sittard and Michel van Dijke of Geleen. Every week there are requests from people who want to help. “The intention is to send a clearer signal to unite us. This signal is simple: do not throw garbage on the street!”

CarnAFVAL begins on Sunday afternoons of February 14 at 2:11 pm and continues until 4:00 pm at the latest.
