Espionage: Russians, Ukrainians arrested for storming Albanian arms factory

Two Russians and a Ukrainian were arrested in Albania for trying to break into an arms factory by force. The Albanian Ministry of Defense said, on Saturday evening, that they had wounded two soldiers who were blocking their path.

One of the suspects attacked the soldiers while trying to take pictures of the Gramsc factory. This is where unused weapons are disassembled. It’s about a 24-year-old Russian guy, with his initials MZ, spraying mist on the soldiers’ faces. In addition, a 33-year-old Russian, with the initials ST, and a 25-year-old Ukrainian, FA were also arrested. The two Albanian soldiers were taken to hospital for treatment.

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama accused the three of “espionage”. Military police and intelligence services launched an investigation. Albania is a member of NATO since 2009. The Balkan country is a popular tourist destination for Russians in the summer.
