He refuses to acknowledge that the British would have been better off had they remained in the Union.
The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development expects the UK economy to achieve the second-worst growth compared to other countries. Only Russia does worse. The British Court of Audit notes that Britain's exit from the European Union has led to a sharp decline in international trade. The Brexiteers told voters the opposite in the referendum. Despite the opinions of experts, they categorically promised that trade and the economy would indeed flourish.
