Some carnival-goers in the US state of Florida were terrified of their lives on Friday. Due to a technical defect in the Ferris wheel, several gondolas suddenly ended up hanging upside down. The passengers had to hold onto the gravity for a while, but they were all released without incident.

Alexis Cresong was one of the victims. “We clung tightly to the rails of the gondola, not knowing what would follow,” said the woman. “It was an absolute nightmare. I can’t describe what it feels like to watch your life flash by.”

According to the director of the exhibition city, safety mechanisms are activated automatically when a defect appears. And then it sounded: “We quickly began to remove guests from the attraction, and in the safest way.” The investigation should reveal how the technical problems arose.
