In Google Meet, users can now check the “don’t watch” option next to the participant via the “three dots” menu. For mobile users there is a “Voice Only” option. This last option turns off all attendee streams and shows only the presenter feed.

Participants are not notified when feeds are disabled. The user experience for these participants remains the same. By the way, administrators cannot centrally disable feeds, so participants will always have access to other people’s feeds.

The feature is currently being added and will be available to all Google Meet users in a few weeks.
