IKEA unveils Sonos speaker disguised as a painting

Like other Symfonisk speakers, the panel can also be controlled via the Sonos app. If you own multiple Sonos and/or Symfonisk speakers, you can control them together or separately. The new Symfonisk speaker also works with files Apple AirPlay 2 – Bluetooth support is not present, just like with previous speakers.

Two copies of the graphic amplifier can form a stereo pair together. Such a pair cannot be made with another Symfonisk speaker: according to IKEA, the sound of the two speakers must exactly match each other. The speaker controls are hidden behind the edge of the panel.

IKEA designers said at the panel unveiling event that the panel is definitely not the last smart speaker from IKEA. “There are more rooms we want to fill with sound.”

Symfonisk photo frame with speaker will be available from 15th July in all IKEA stores and online. The interchangeable panels will be available online from September 1 at IKEA.nl.
