iOS 12.5.5 released for older devices

iOS 12.5.5 is now available for download

Apple regularly releases updates for older devices. Today is iOS 12.5.5 (build number 16H62), which probably fixes most of the vulnerabilities. Recently, Apple has faced a number of exploits, such as the Pegasus spyware. It is not yet clear if these updates are intended for this; Apple does not provide any information about it. Download iOS 12.5.5
To download iOS 12.5.5, follow these steps:

  1. On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > Software Update. Wait for the update to appear.
  2. tap on Download and install.
  3. Wait until your device restarts and the installation is complete.

You can also perform the update through iTunes or Finder. To do this, connect your iPhone or iPad to your Mac or PC with a cable and open iTunes or Finder in macOS Catalina and later. Click on your connected device and select I’m looking for an update. The update will then be downloaded and installed on your device.
