Is it harmful to eat slightly burnt sausages? Well, a sausage like this isn’t as innocent as you think. Toxins are released when they turn black. The same thing happens with burnt potatoes. But this does not apply to vegetables. In this webinar from the University of the Netherlands, Ninke Kramer, a toxicologist at Wageningen University, explains why and what burnt food is dangerous.
