John Allen is coming to Holland

Ali Allen is coming to Holland with new music for five vocal concerts. The British musician, who has proven himself as a talented singer, songwriter and producer over the past 10 years, will visit five cities in the Netherlands in June 2022. He is a songwriter with a whiskey-saturated voice and has 4 studio albums in his pocket. John Allen discovered legendary guitarist Mark Knopfler, who heard him sing at a party in West London. Allen then toured with the guitar icon, which he supported at Wembley Arena and throughout the European stage of the “All The Road Runners” tour with Emmy Lou Harris. Later, Mark Knopfler played guitar and sang for his song “Sarah”, which appeared on John Allen’s debut album, Dead Man’s Suit.

More success was achieved when his song “Going Home” was selected for the Landrover global TV commercial. In the aftermath, he signed a deal for his debut album with UK Label Absolute, which has since released all of his production.

Over the past ten years, John has assisted artists such as Damian Rice, Brian May, Ciel, and Dionne Warwick at Albert Hall. His songs and distinctive voice can be heard in films and television, both in Holland and in America. In the UK, he appeared on the popular TV show “Later With Jools Holland” and was part of the BBC’s Glastonbury coverage.

When John isn’t working on his own material, he also writes for other artists such as Petula Clark, Engelbert Humperdinck, and record producer Guy Chambers.

His latest album will be released “…the song is about change and letting nature take its course,” says Allen. “The lyrics are about going through tough times and feeling better days are coming. The chorus’ recurring line “Catch That Refracting Wave” is about seizing the moment and opportunity when it comes. I am happy with the end result of the song. “It has a great fast paced, vocals to Hammond’s organ and lead guitar part that starts the melody,” Allen said of his new song.
