Eindhoven – As a science journalist for the NRC, Marguerite van der Heyden has had a “secret mission” for years to keep as many people, young and old, as possible interested in science. Now she continues this mission at TU/e, where she has been appointed Professor by special appointment in the field of Scientific Communication. Now that the campus has reopened, Van der Heijden will spend one day per week at TU/e. Its new chair at the Faculty of Applied Sciences was established by the Dutch Physics Society (NVV) on the occasion of its centenary. In principle, it is there for five years.
