Storm Malik has already caused many casualties in different countries. In Beelitz, in the German state of Brandenburg, the storm – called Storm Nadia in Germany – claimed an additional casualty earlier today. A local police spokesman said a 58-year-old man was hit with a fallen electoral roll. Two people were infected elsewhere in Germany. After the United Kingdom, Denmark and Germany, the storm Malik also hit the Czech Republic and Poland. There were also fatalities there.

Falling trees and power outages

In Poland, firefighters set out to answer thousands of calls; They removed fallen trees and secured the roofs. In Pomeranian County, a 27-year-old man was killed after a tree fell on his car and another person was injured. Electricity was cut off to 680,000 homes.
