Motorola has managed to return to the high-end segment for years with the release of Motorola Edge devices. At the start of 2021, Motorola has another high-end device in the pipeline, whose specifications, design and launch date have been leaked today.

Earlier, it was leaked that Motorola wanted to equip the high-end phone with the Snapdragon 888 chipset. This does not appear to be the case now – the Edge S is expected to be used. As for the camera unit on the back of the Motorola Edge S, there are three cameras available, as well as a laser autofocus unit. Rumors speculate that the device will include a 64-megapixel camera sensor for the main camera, with a 16-megapixel wide-angle camera and finally a 2-megapixel depth camera. Details about the two selfie cameras on the front of the phone – and the one in the hole punch – are not yet known.
105 Hz, 90 Hz?
Finally, there are the previously leaked specifications, as the Motorola Edge S is expected to use a 6.7-inch screen with a refresh rate of at least 90Hz. Rumors are swirling about an odd 105Hz refresh rate, take it with the necessary salt pellets for now. The screen may not be OLED. The next launch
It is still not known when the device will arrive in Europe – Motorola Edge S will launch in China on January 26th. Later, the device will also be introduced in Europe, and here the device – as suggested by various sources – will be given a different name. For example, Motorola is preparing to expand the G series into the high-end segment.
