American band Friday Pilots Club have been around since 2017, but there hasn't been a debut album in that long. After a long wait, the launch of the first long player was announced earlier this year. Nowhere, might be expected. What's more, on Monday, May 27, Friday Pilots Club will perform the album live at Kavka Oudaan. Samples like “Vampire disco” And “Viewer“Earlier demonstrated that catchy guitars overlaid with a layer of electronics remain central. 'We Don't Wanna Talk' confirms this once again.
Theatrical synths as an introduction might give us the wrong impression, but today we are once again presented with a modern rock song. The guys start off softly with a sultry bass sound backed by a strong drum beat, but it quickly evolves into the powerful chorus. The energetic guitars amaze us and suddenly make sitting impossible. It's undeniable that Friday Pilots Club took inspiration from Nothing But Thieves, but we can't blame them. The mix of electronics and catchy rock elements guides us seamlessly through the song and creates an immersive feeling. As the icing on the cake, the guitar solo amidst the powerful guitars is the perfect moment to end the song.
