In addition to the album, the Briton also comes up with a film in which he did almost everything himself. He wrote the script, directed, shot, edited, financed and even created his own special effects. The movie bears the same name as the upcoming album and will premiere on October 19.

With “Troubled Waters,” it was already clear that the dance floor would be central to the new record and that streak continues on “Too Much Yayo.” Right from the start, we were blown away by the wobbly bass that ensured we delivered a mix between dirt and bass line. Add in Mike Skinner’s dry lyrics full of puns and you’ve got “The Streets” that could just as well work in a dark club, though it likely won’t achieve status as an “The lights blinded himarrives. The new “Too Much Yayo” also plays a role in the film, as it is the focus of the first major scene in Skinner’s film.

The darker the shade, the brighter the light It will be released on October 20th.
