Was this a conscious act or not?
The sound of jubilant Extinction Rebellion friends was heard again last weekend, and especially for the occasion, Greta Thunberg even joined the action group in The Hague for a good time occupying the highway. But the matter did not go as planned, because the police prevented the siege, arrested Greta, and then released her. The demonstrators dispersed and closed other streets in The Hague, and Greta was arrested for the second time.
The Hague police were very busy, and one officer was charged with assaulting X. He allegedly grabbed one of the female protesters by the chest, after which a colleague told him: “I'm sure you like that.” Sexual assault according to his sympathizers and Asha ten Broek.
Broken elbow
Officers are also said to have broken a protester's elbow, although this has not yet been confirmed (except for Extinction Rebellion). However, the actions of the police were strongly criticized and a lot of force was used.
