Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC trailer reveals returning Starter Pokemon, new moves, and more — these are the games

It looks like the upcoming two-part expansion for Pokémon Scarlett and Violet, dubbed Hidden Treasure in the Zero Zone, will be an important new addition, and The Pokémon Company has revealed new details on what it’ll be bringing along with a new trailer.

“The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero” adds over 230 Pokémon to the base game’s Pokédex, many of which have now been confirmed as starter Pokémon from previous generations. The trailer, which you can watch below, features Pokemon like Totodile, Chicorita, Chimchar, Squirtle, Mudkip, Treecko, Snivy, and more.

Four new moves have also been added to the game with the expansion: Psychic Noise, which deals damage and prevents your opponent from healing; the upper hand, which strikes before the opponent’s priority move; Thunderclap, which strikes before the target attacks; and Tachyon Cutter, which is guaranteed to be hit twice in a row.

Meanwhile, matches between the two new Paradox Pokémon species in the expansion are revealed. Raging Bolt is confirmed as an Electro/Dragon type and Iron Crown is confirmed as a Steel/Psycho type. Watch the trailer below for more details.

“The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero” will be released in two parts, with Part One: “The Teal Mask” releasing September 13th and Part Two: “The Indigo Disk” arriving sometime this winter. Mewtwo Tera Raid will also be added to the base Pokémon Scarlet and Violet game on September 1st.
