Redmagic 7 Pro 7S and 7S Pro successors are equipped with updated chipset

After we informed you extensively last week about the ultra-fast Redmagic 7 Pro gaming smartphone with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset on board, Phandroid has now reported that Nubia also has two new models in the pipeline in the form of the Redmagic 7S and 7S Pro.

The main difference here is that unlike the Redmagic 7 Pro, the new phones will have updated chipsets and will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. In addition, the smartphones should also be able to get Red Core 1, which according to the developer maker Games specifically for gaming. Also included is the new ICE 10.0 cooling system, which is designed to help keep units cool under heavy loads.

Both phones are equipped with the same 6.8-inch 10-bit AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080, but that’s where the similarities largely end. For example, the 7S has a 4,500mAh battery with 120W fast charging (however, it comes with a 165W GaN charger) on board, while the Pro model offers a larger 5000mAh battery with fast charging Fast 135 watts.

The Pro model will also come with a built-in camera, which means that the front of the phone will be completely free of cutouts. In terms of the rear cameras, both models will have a triple camera setup, which will include a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro.

The Redmagic 7S will likely cost around $600 for the base model, while the 7S Pro will cost $775. The latter is expected to hit international markets, while the 7S looks set to remain only in China.
