Share your health data

The Health app on your iPhone gets a new feature in iOS 15. You can share your personal health information that the app collects with anyone. This means that your partner, son or daughter is always aware of your health. If the app notices that you have an increased chance of falling or problems with your heart rate, the person you’re sharing the data with will also receive this helpful notification. You can decide for yourself what to share and with whom. In this article we explain how it works.

This is how you share your health data

If you updated your iPhone to iOS 15 this fall, you’ll see the new tab in the Health app Involved coincidence. You don’t necessarily need an Apple Watch to share health data, as the app also uses the sensors on your iPhone to collect information about your health. However, you will have a little less data to share with others if you don’t have an Apple Watch paired with your iPhone.

Follow the steps below so you can share your data from the Health app with others:

  1. Open the Health app on your iPhone.
  2. Press the button below Involved.
  3. Then you can choose someone by pressing Share with someone Pay.
  4. Press the blue button next one When the explanation screen appears.
  5. Then select a contact or search for someone using the search bar. This person must have an iPhone that has been updated to iOS 15.

  1. Click inside below next one. Then, in step 2, select the activity and navigation data you’re sharing. In Step 3, you can then choose whether you also want to share data about your heart rate. Finally, in Step 4, you can decide if you also share sleep and wake information.
  2. If you have completed all four steps, a summary page will appear showing what you do and what you do not share. If necessary, press preview To see how the other person views your data.
  3. Send the invitation to participate by clicking the button part Pay.

The data will now be visible to the other person after the other person accepts your invitation. The other person can also see your directions. Customize Shared Data

Want to check exactly what you’re sharing with someone? Even after setting up the post, you can still adjust that. under the title you share with in the tab Involved See exactly who you share what. Follow these steps to view it and change it if necessary.

  1. Click on the person from the list you share with Where you want to check or adjust the shared data.
  2. A list of all the data you share opens and you can share it. Everything you share is thoroughly vetted.
  3. Scroll down and turn some options on or off.
  4. Finally, press ready Your changes will be applied.

View someone else’s shared health data

When you share your data with someone, it does not automatically mean that the other person is also showing his/her data to you. If there are people sharing their data with you, the address will appear shared with you on the page. Here you can see exactly who is sharing something with you and whether any notifications and changes have occurred. To view this information, click on the person you want to know more about. You will then see all kinds of tables and graphs appear with the information.

If you no longer want to share your health data after a while, you can stop it easily. To stop sharing your information with anyone else, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the tab Involved, under the title you share withon the person.
  2. Then scroll down and tap stop sharing.
  3. Confirm your choice by pressing stop sharing Pay.
