Slicker presents the first movie “Mothering Sunday”

Mothering Sunday is a drama film directed by Eva Huson (UK, 2021) coming soon to Slieker.

Director Eva Huson has made a striking adaptation of the successful novel by Graham Swift. Odessa Young as Jane, as well as Olivia Colman (“Father”), Colin Firth (“Supernova”) and Josh O’Connor (“The Crown”).

It’s March 30, 1924, Mother’s Day. This is the day all domestic workers are given leave for family visits. Jane Fairchild is the maid of the wealthy Nevins family. The Nivens traditionally have lunch that day with the Sheringhams. Jane doesn’t have a family of her own anymore. She uses her day off to secretly meet her lover Paul. He is the son of the Sheringham family. Today takes a dramatic turn, but Jane will use her experiences to become a famous writer.

The film lasts 110 minutes and can be watched at the following times: Thursday, May 12 at 7:45 pm; Friday, May 13 at 8.50 p.m.; Saturday May 14 at 4 and 6:30 p.m.; Sunday, May 15 at 11 a.m.; Monday, May 16 at 8 p.m.; Tuesday May 17th at 2:45pm and Wednesday May 18th at 2:45pm.
