Sony officially reveals the three PlayStation Plus games that you will get for free in October 2023

It’s the last Wednesday of every month, the day Sony announces new PlayStation Plus Essential games for the following month. As always, subscribers can look forward to three free games.

As in previous months, well-known insider and leaker Bilbil Con is right again. Horror game The Callisto Protocol is one of three free PlayStation Plus games.

The PS Plus lineup for October 2023 has just been officially announced and is as follows:

  • Callisto Protocol (PS4/PS5)
  • Farming Simulator 22 (PS4/PS5)
  • The Strange West (PS4/PS5)

Callisto Protocol is a fairly recent horror game, having hit shelves in December 2022. The hype was huge because Dead Space creator and director, Glenn Schofield, was at the helm of this project. The high expectations of horror fans were not fully met at launch, due in part to technical issues and repetitive combat. Since then, the studio Striking Distance has made numerous adjustments, implemented quality of life improvements and released more content.

Weird West is an action RPG with immersive simulation elements. This game was created by Wolfeye Studios, which employs many experienced developers who have worked on Dishonered and Wolfenstein in the past. Weird West combines the Wild West and dark fantasy.

These three games will replace Saints Row Reboot (PS5 | PS4), Black Desert Traveler Edition (PS4), and Generation Zero (PS4) on Tuesday, October 3. You can claim these games for free now if you haven’t already.

October 2023 games will be available to claim until November 7, 2023. Watch the trailers for the three October 2023 PlayStation Plus games below.
