Hollywood and streaming services strike: You need to know
In Hollywood, many series and movies have ceased production altogether. This is because different parties demand better working conditions and higher wages. It started a month and a half ago with the scriptwriters and a week ago the actors also started going on strike.
Why writers and actors on strike?
First of all, both writers and actors demand more pay. It all has to do with “hangover”. If a series or movie on DVD, Blu-ray, or TV was a hit, the writers and actors saw something in return. This is not the case with series and movies on streaming services.
If the series isn’t successful enough, it will now be unofficially removed from the streaming service. After that, the makers get absolutely nothing.
In addition, there is now a lot of criticism of the emerging role of artificial intelligence. This is a scary new factor for writers and actors alike. Streaming services think they can use AI to create scripts, so they have to pay screenwriters less.

Your favorite series and movies will come later
The strikes only happen in the United States. As a result, many American series and films were delayed in production.
