The rise and fall of billion-dollar Uber in a new series on Streamz

“Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber” is the first of a new three-part anthology, each season of which will be based on a story that shook the business world to its foundations.

The first part is inspired by the best-selling book of the same name by American writer Mike Isaac, which tells the story of the rise of Uber and all the unexpected consequences that arise from it. Emmy Award winners Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Kyle Chandler star in this drama series alongside Academy Award nominees Elisabeth Shue and Uma Thurman. All seven episodes can be streamed exclusively on Streamz starting April 25.

The series tells the story of one of the most talked about companies in Silicon Valley, Uber. We see how Travis Kalanick (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), the CEO of Uber who was eventually ousted in a coup by the board, deals with his sometimes difficult relationship with his mentor Bill Gurley (Kyle Chandler), an outspoken and brilliant investor. A Texan who stakes his stellar reputation on Uber's success — and then has to live with all the consequences. We also see Uma Thurman who plays Arianna Huffington, the savvy businesswoman and co-founder of The Huffington Post, who was also on Uber's board of directors at the time.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt (“Poker Face”), Kyle Chandler (“Friday Night Lights”) and Uma Thurman (“Kill Bill”). Other roles include Kerry Bishé (“Argo”), Babak Tafti (“Succession”), John Bass (“Baywatch”), Sonny Valicente (“Mindhunter”), Musa Hussein Kraish (“Your Lucky Day”), Bridget Jaw Hewlett (” Home and Away”), Elizabeth Shue (“The Boys”), and Quentin Tarantino (“One Upon a Time… in Hollywood”).

The series is produced by Showtime. Brian Kopelman, David Levine and Beth Schacter (“Billions”) are showrunners and writers of “Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber,” as well as executive producers along with Paul Schiff, Steven Schiff and Alice Ozarski. As of April 25, all seven episodes can be streamed exclusively on Streamz.
