Due to an unexpected strike by Channel Tunnel workers, the fifty kilometer long tunnel between France and the United Kingdom is currently without train traffic.

As a result, Eurostar will not operate between Amsterdam and London for an indefinite period. Passengers wishing to travel by train are advised to postpone their journey. Passengers whose trains have been canceled will be emailed with additional information.

A feral cat strike has put many Christmas holiday plans in jeopardy. It is not known how long the strike will last. An unknown number of train passengers are known to be affected and stranded in trains or stations.

Getlink: Unions don’t accept year-end bonuses

Getlink, the French company that operates the Channel tunnel, has announced that French unions have not agreed to a year-end bonus of 1,000 euros. So the unions have called for a strike. The unions want the bonus to be tripled. Getlink is trying to reach a settlement with the unions to end the strike.
