Second place went to the Hollow Capsule, a recyclable wireless vacuum cleaner that comes with enough capacity and extra disposable bags to fill a bathtub with dust.
Kia Soul’s full electric vehicle, Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G smartphone and LG 48 inch LED TV also made it to the top five.
The budget £ 12 kettle came in 47th place in terms of its simple and stylish appearance, and the “unique” value for money, although experts rated it a little louder.
The Eurobot Rumba S9 robot empties its own dustbag in 42nd place, and Sony’s Swing Selfie Display ZV-1 camera in 50th place.
“Reducing the number of products tested every year to just 50 is a big task – but this year’s list shows the best of high – tech gadgets, consistency improvement and value for money products that prove there are great purchases for anyone willing to do their research,” Mr Rose added.
