A gunman opened fire at approximately 8 a.m. this morning, firing several shots at two locations in the city. Two people were killed: a man (41 years old) and a woman (34 years old). Another woman (49 years old) was injured.

The name and description of the suspected perpetrator were soon published: 36-year-old Robin S. Police noted that the suspect was “armed and dangerous” and that no one should “under any circumstances” try to kill him. Arrest or approach.
The suspect was finally stopped in Saint-Leonard by Crans-Montana police at 3:43 p.m. He was arrested based on orders from the Public Prosecution.
Valais canton police reported that, according to preliminary findings, the shooter knew his victims. He was driving a Peugeot 206 Cabriolet, metallic grey.
At 7.15am, emergency services in Valais received a call that someone had been injured in a car park on rue Oscar Peder in Sion. It concerns a woman who was fatally shot. A few minutes later, a man was also shot dead. A woman was also hit by a bullet.
The police immediately arrived at the scene, accompanied by several forces. The families of the victims have been informed and are receiving psychological support from emergency services.
Nothing is known yet about the motive.
