Two people were killed and nine are missing after an American chocolate factory exploded outside

Two people were killed in an explosion at a chocolate factory in West Riding, Pennsylvania. Nine others are still missing and several people were injured.

Disaster struck RM Palmer. The company states on its website that it has been making candy since 1948 and specializes in seasonal treats for Easter, Halloween, and Valentine’s Day. About 850 people work there.

According to the police, the explosion destroyed “Building No. 2” of the factory. The adjacent “Terminal 1” was damaged.

The rescue operation is still going on.

West Reading is located about 60 miles northwest of Philadelphia.
